Things I Forgot To Tell You: Business Time / by Frederik van den Berg

If you've been following me, you should probably stop. That's creepy.

You may have heard some happy yodels here and there when I get good news, get some coverage, or just decide to reanimate some part of the internet where I was once more active (i.e Flickr, FB, Reddit, etc.). But I never posted any news here, so that's what you're looking at now.

This is (some of) what has happened in the past year (or two or three).

My series "Schweizer Nachtlandschaften" was selected as a Finalist in the VFG Nachwuchsförderpreis 2013. A few days ago I submitted a second round of the series, along with a photo essay about the South Korean version of a VitaParcours. Beside National Geographic, this is the most important photo contest for me.

A photo I shot while sipping on a fantastic Gin & Tonic on a hotel rooftop bar in HCMC, Vietnam, was presented as an Editors Favorite in the National Geographic Photo Contest 2013. It wins nothing, but it means a lot to me.

Tesla Motors hired me in Switzerland to cover the first deliveries of the Model S. The photos were spread across the Tesla social media accounts and spewed out into the World Wide Web.

An old test shot of the Horgen Ferry went (kind of) viral on Tumblr. Internet points, that is all.

Further commissions and licensees included Weight Watchers Schweiz, BrandAffairs AG, and Odlo... but I'd rather just stay on the topic of internet points.

If you're interested in licensing images, hiring me for shoot, or want to buy a print - just say hello via the contact form below.

Until next time,
