Exactly two years ago today was my last day in the office. It had been five years of intense learning, experimentation, adaptation, and a ton of negotiation. It was a job many would envy – dealing with record labels on a daily basis; promoting artists, developing products, and once in a while making a small but tangible impact on the musical landscape.
Unfortunately, most chapters need to end for new ones to begin. A year of being addressed as 'patient' - fighting fevers, infections, inflammations and other unexplained phenomena on a roller-coaster-ride of medical conditions led to a decision to resign based on the simple need to smile again.
I needed a break. An adventure.
I told my colleagues I just needed a few months off, some time in the mountains with fresh air and fluffy snow. I just needed to relax, play, and let my body recover.
My camera became a tool as well as a ticket. It led me places and allowed me to capture figments of my imagination sprinkled around the globe.
The following images represent some of the transport methods over the course of my travels, an endless adventure behind a lens.
And so the story goes…
Methods of transportation include:
- Snowboard, Surfboard, Skateboard
- Cars, 4x4's, Trucks
- Scooters, Motorbikes, Bicycles
- Hands & Feet
- Planes, Trains, & Buses
- Boats of all shapes and sizes
- Tuk-Tuks & Taxis, Horse Carriage
- Flippers, JetSkis, Kayaks
I will share some stories from each of these chapters throughout the year, filled with an abundance of pictures and hopefully just a little bit of text.
You can follow the fun by 'liking' my page on Facebook. Or you could just bookmark this website and come back every day. Whichever floats your boat!
Thanks for stopping by, hope to see you soon!
