The premise was strange: "the weirdest vacation ever". The prospects were looking good: a bunch of chocolate and a potential Yeti costume. The flights were booked and along came Toby.
I had lured him with the promise of a great Yeti-chasing adventure fueled by free chocolate (thanks to Lindt). The chocolate manufacturer was looking for brand ambassadors and the idea of unlimited chocolate for life (I'm just going to assume that's part of the deal) was very enticing. We had a storyboard, several silly brainstorming sessions, calls to costume vendors, visits in costume shops, but ultimately a sigh of resignation. Nobody could deliver a Yeti on time.
So we did things the old fashioned way and scaled a couple of mountains, drove through the valleys, and slipped on ice at rather precarious heights. Below are some of shots from our first day on the mountain, hiking near the Flüelapass in Graubünden.
You can see the shots selected for the Lindt campaign on Instagram.
